a classy, editorial-style kansas city wedding
Dani and Nathan, the bride and groom, two clients who quickly became friends.
About a month before Daniella & Nathan’s wedding day, we met up near Loose Park in Kansas City for a short engagement session to get familiar with being in front of the camera. Naturally, we decided we needed coffee just as we were about part ways, so we packed our cars and drove the twenty minutes down the road for our treat. We sat and chatted over drinks at our cafe of choice, Neighbors in Morlbourouh Heights, talking and laughing about how they met in great detail - a friends-to-lovers tale you could write a book about. We unpacked what love means - how it grows over time. We bonded over our hearts for Jesus. Their energy and love and light and intentionality left me wanting more friendship and time.
A village showed up for Dani and Nathan on their wedding day, friends & family pouring in from all corners of the world as the two set apart a bright November eve, committing themselves to each other before God. It was a precious sight. I am honored to have witnessed their beautiful day - not just visually stunning, although Dani has quite the artistic eye to pull off such an event - but also, stunning from the deepest places of the heart. Stunningly true. Stunningly intentional. Overwhelmingly joy-filled.
A November wedding to end out my year - one I will not soon forget. Here are some photos that tell their story. I say some lightly, because it was hard to pick favorites.
